In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.
The adventure focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
